# apaleo Integration

> How to use apaleo with DialogShift for booking agents and Journey Messaging.

The apaleo integration connects DialogShift to your apaleo property. It can power both booking agents and Journey Messaging.

## Prerequisites

* Your hotel uses apaleo.
* The apaleo integration is connected in the DialogShift app.
* The correct property is mapped to your DialogShift client.

## Activate the integration

Because there is an apaleo integration page in the DialogShift app, the hotel can activate the integration itself.

1. Connect apaleo in the DialogShift app via **Connect**.
2. Map the apaleo property to the correct DialogShift client.
3. If needed, select apaleo as the booking engine for the agent.

## Booking agents

## Booking agent configuration

**Channel.** The apaleo channel determines which availability, prices and booking rules the agent uses. Select the channel that is meant for the public booking flow so guests see the same bookable offers in the dialog.

**Rate plans.** Rate plans are configurable so the agent only offers rates that are suitable to explain and book in chat or on the phone. Enable only public guest rates and exclude corporate, group or internal rates.

**Room images.** Room images are configurable because they make the chat carousel easier for guests to understand. Add a clear landscape hero image for each bookable category and verify in the Availability Analyzer that it is shown correctly.

## Journey Messaging

## Configuration

For Journey Messaging, maintain flows and templates under **Journey Messaging**.
